Write for LWP

LiveWork&Play is expanding its range of guides, both printed books and e-books.

We will be publishing working holiday guides, accommodation guides, general travel guides to cities and countries, travel related guides and travel literature.

Submitting a proposal

If you feel you could write a guide, contact us with the following details:

Your name.
Any writing qualifications - you don’t have to be a qualified journalist to write for us, but you must be able to string together sentences in an entertaining and informative manner.
Your experience - we prefer people who have 'lived' the experience. For example, if you propose a working holiday guide for South Africa, we would expect you have spent time living, working and playing there.
A synopsis of the book you propose impressing us with your knowledge of the country or area and your writing skills.
Chapter listing and/or analysis.
The market the guide is aimed at.

You should give us at least a couple of weeks to a month to respond to any correspondence. We cannot guarantee publication of your idea.

NB: LiveWork&Play does not accept any liability for loss of unsolicited material. Unfortunately we cannot return any material unless a stamped self-addressed envelope (Australia only) or an international return paid coupon is provided.

Contribute

LiveWork&Play is always interested in receiving stories from your travels, particularly anything to do with working holidays. Guides are regularly updated and any material from readers used in the next edition will be acknowledged and the author receives a free copy of the publication. Lengthy contributions and photographs used receive payment. If you would like to make a contribution or submit a proposal for a working holiday guide or travel literature send it to sharyn@liveworkplay.com.

LWP produces a fortnightly e-travelzine. If you have a newsworthy item, article or product or service review please send to sharyn@liveworkplay.com. All contributions will be considered at the editor's discretion.
